WORKSHOPS
Workshops* are crash courses on certain topics and are great ways to experience other training options with your dog. All workshops are limited to 12 dog/handler teams. Workshops are not suitable for aggressive dogs. *Arrangements can be made to hold workshops anywhere in New Mexico. Contact me for more information on scheduling a workshop in your location. For a schedule of classes and workshops, please click here: Basic Manners: this is a one day workshop that will help you teach your dog basic manners at home. Learn how to use games to mentally and physically exercise your dog. Prior obedience training is not required but this workshop is not for those who want obedience training. Bring a sack lunch. Cost $75.00 plus tax. Introduction to Agility: this is a weekend workshop that will introduce you and your dog to the basics of agility. Ways to create inexpensive equipment for use at home will be part of this seminar. Your dog must have basic obedience skills to participate in this workshop. Cost $160.00 plus tax, includes lunch both days. Introduction to Rally Obedience: this is a one day workshop that will introduce you and your dog to the sport of Rally Obedience. Your dog must have basic obedience skills to participate in this workshop. Bring a sack lunch. Cost $75.00 plus tax. Introduction to Therapy Dog work: Are you interested in certifying your dog as a Therapy Dog? Would your dog enjoy working as a therapy dog? This weekend workshop will cover what is required to do therapy work with your dog, how to recognize and deal with signs of stress in your dog and work on reliability in situations you may encounter doing therapy work. Your dog must have basic obedience skills to participate in this workshop. Cost $160.00 plus tax, includes lunch both days.
